“The Tarot Trumps”

This is the equilibrium not of the balance of Libra but of the impetus of the Arrow, Sagittarius, which cleaves its way through the air by the force imparted to it by the taut string of the Bow. It requires the counterchanged forces of Fire and Water, Shin and Qoph, held by the restraining power of Saturn, and concentrated by the energies of Mars to initiate this impetus. All these are summed up in the symbolism of the figure standing between Earth and Water, holding the two amphorae with their streams of living water, and with the volcano in the background. The colours are bright-blue, blue-grey, slate-blue, and lilac-grey.

A winged angel, with the sign of the sun upon his forehead and on his breast the square and triangle of the septenary. I speak of him in the masculine sense, but the figure is neither male nor female. It is held to be pouring the essences of life from chalice to chalice. It has one foot upon the earth and one upon waters, thus illustrating the nature of the essences. A direct path goes up to certain heights on the verge of the horizon, and above there is a great light, through which a crown is seen vaguely. Hereof is some part of the Secret of Eternal Life, as it is possible to man in his incarnation. All the conventional emblems are renounced herein.

So also are the conventional meanings, which refer to changes in the seasons, perpetual movement of life and even the combination of ideas. It is, moreover, untrue to say that the figure symbolizes the genius of the sun, though it is the analogy of solar light, realized in the third part of our human triplicity. It is called Temperance fantastically, because, when the rule of it obtains in our consciousness, it tempers, combines and harmonises the psychic and material natures. Under that rule we know in our rational part something of whence we came and whither we are going.

ブログ記事のメンテナンス

このブログに移転したのは、旧ブログで私個人の日記やメモや抜き書きのような記事がいつの間にやら膨大な数になり収拾がつかなくなったので、心機一転して「バニラのタロット占い」という形で基本的にタロットにテーマを絞ってブログを再構築しようと思ったから。昨年末から旧ブログとこのブログの合わせて 4000 件以上の記事を整理してきたが、一通り整理し終えて燃え尽きた感じになってしまった。そこで、今後の方針を指し示す「羅針盤カード」として 1 枚引いた。 出たのは「 XIV. 中庸 」 天使が左手のカップから右手のカップに水を移し変えている様子は、これまでの私自身の旧ブログから新ブログへの移行作業そのものを示している。 遠景に見えている向こう山の光とそこへと続く直線の道が、今後の私の道程を示しているのだろう。しばらく、光（新境地）へと到る道程は続きそうである。

小室圭さんはこれからどうするのだろう？

皇室ニュースを目にすると何となく見てしまうことがある。今日（3 月 4 日）も天皇陛下が眞子さまのご結婚について厳しい言及をされたというニュースが出ていた。ますます世間の風当たりが強くなってきているが「小室圭さんはこれからどうするのだろう？」と思いつい占ってみたところ次のような結果となった。 眞子さまが小室さんをせっついてくる（⑤ 貨の10 、⑥ 恋人 の逆位置）ので、将来がかかっている仕事もあるのに（⑧ 貨の 3 ）うんざりした気持になるが（① 盃の 8 、② 死 ）、それでも小室さんは公には何も宣言することはない（④ 正義 の逆位置、⑦ 剣の 2 の逆位置）ような感じがする。 今の小室さんとしては、ご立腹の眞子さま（③ 剣の女王 の逆位置）を上手になだめることさえできれば（⑨ 盃の 9 の逆位置）と思っている。 結婚するもしないも考えてみれば当然のことだが、最終的な決定権は本物の皇族（⑩ 女帝 ）である眞子さまが握っている。 結局、小室さんにとっては世間への対応よりも、眞子さまへの対応が命となっている。 という形にまとまった。

馴染みのイタリアンレストラン

2 年くらい前にお店がオープンしたての頃から、私がランチに通っている行きつけのイタリアンレストランがある。2 週間ほど前、お店へいつも通りに行ったところ、突然入口の窓に「近々店舗移転のお知らせ」の貼り紙があり衝撃を受けた。 移転先は私の家からは今よりもずっと遠くになる上、さきの 馴染みの中国料理店 閉店の件もあるのでダブルショックの出来事であった。 2 〜 3 月中はまだ今の場所で営業予定だということなので、今日（2 月 19 日）もいつも通り出かけようとしたところ、ふと店舗移転の作業はどのような状況なのだろうか？　と思いカードを 1 枚引いてみた。すると 杖の 6 が正位置で出た。 これは上記に書いた事柄の状況を現している。すなわち「近々店舗移転のお知らせ」を行ったオーナー（馬上の人）とそれに衝撃を受けた私や常連客（歩く人たち）の姿。 そして馬に乗った私の向かう先を 1 枚引いたところ、 吊され人 の逆位置だった。 これは現在の状況である。移転先の改修工事は業者とともにオーナー自身も行っていると聞いていたので、店舗を営業しながらの移転作業は普段とは逆さまの慣れない日常生活であり、今は心身ともにかなりしんどい思いをしているようである。また、私たち常連にとってみれば通いづらくなるといった現実を現している。 最終的にはどう落ち着くのかと最後に 1 枚引いたところ、 盃の 10 の正位置だった。 今の苦しい時期にも次第に見通しがつき、はれて約束の地へ幸せな移転をすることがでそうである。私も含め常連客も時々ひょっこり顔を出してお店との縁は続いていけそうである。 以上を占ってから出かけ、お店でオーナーに移転状況を尋ねたところ、改修工事にだいぶ手間取っているという話をされた。
