“The Tarot Trumps”

This is the equilibrium not of the balance of Libra but of the impetus of the Arrow, Sagittarius, which cleaves its way through the air by the force imparted to it by the taut string of the Bow. It requires the counterchanged forces of Fire and Water, Shin and Qoph, held by the restraining power of Saturn, and concentrated by the energies of Mars to initiate this impetus. All these are summed up in the symbolism of the figure standing between Earth and Water, holding the two amphorae with their streams of living water, and with the volcano in the background. The colours are bright-blue, blue-grey, slate-blue, and lilac-grey.

A winged angel, with the sign of the sun upon his forehead and on his breast the square and triangle of the septenary. I speak of him in the masculine sense, but the figure is neither male nor female. It is held to be pouring the essences of life from chalice to chalice. It has one foot upon the earth and one upon waters, thus illustrating the nature of the essences. A direct path goes up to certain heights on the verge of the horizon, and above there is a great light, through which a crown is seen vaguely. Hereof is some part of the Secret of Eternal Life, as it is possible to man in his incarnation. All the conventional emblems are renounced herein.

So also are the conventional meanings, which refer to changes in the seasons, perpetual movement of life and even the combination of ideas. It is, moreover, untrue to say that the figure symbolizes the genius of the sun, though it is the analogy of solar light, realized in the third part of our human triplicity. It is called Temperance fantastically, because, when the rule of it obtains in our consciousness, it tempers, combines and harmonises the psychic and material natures. Under that rule we know in our rational part something of whence we came and whither we are going.

2020 年 9 月自民党次期総裁選

先月 28 日に安倍総理辞任表明があったので、来年 10 月までの残りの任期を引き継ぐ自民党の次期総裁について占ってみました。 菅義偉 官房長官「杖の6」←「隠者」 岸田文雄 政調会長「盃の王」←「剣の6」 石破茂 元幹事長「貨の5」→「貨の6」 という展開となりました。 石破氏が次期総裁になる可能性はまず少ないと思います。かなり不利な情勢のように見受けられます。 なので残る、菅氏か岸田氏のどちらかということになりますが、次期総裁の有力候補としては安倍さんの病による辞任がなければもともとは岸田氏なのだと思いますが、菅氏が任期引き継ぎの総裁となるのだと思いました。 絵で読み解いてみると、菅氏（杖の 6）が安倍総理（隠者）から月桂冠（リーダーシップ）を一旦（馬上で）受け取っている。（馬のベールに隠れているのは菅政権の後継として一年後の総裁選で本命の河野太郎氏？） 岸田氏（盃の王）は安倍さんが無事に任期を満了していれば有力な後継者だったところが、イレギュラーな事件（安倍さんの任期を残した辞任）によりチャンスを逃した（剣の6（逆））。 石破氏（貨の 5）はそもそも蚊帳の外で、全国の自民党員の人気は別として、主流派（国会議員）からは実質的に相手にされていないようです。

小 1 から貯めた 6000 万円を寄付した正体不明の男性

先日神奈川県横須賀市で市に対し、70～80 代の正体不明の男性が 小 1 から貯めた貯金 6000 万円を寄付した という。出たカードは 剣の 4 逆位置。 霊安室に安置された棺があり、蓋には 祈る 騎士の立派な彫像が施されている。 出窓 の ステンドグラス には子供が聖母にひざまづき手を合わせる姿が描かれている。 一瞬、不思議なカードが出たように思った。 いずれにしても、6000 万円を手放すような気持となる何らかの出来事がこの男性にあったようだ。 剣は、トラブル、悲しみ、病気、死などネガティブな要素が強いカードだ。 この人は年齢からいって大病か、いずれにしても体力と気力をかなり消耗するような体験があったと思われる。 棺の祈る騎士とステンドグラスのひざまづく子供はこの男性を表しており、この体験を通じて心境にも大きな変化があったことを表しているようだ。 カードが逆位置なので、（完全ではないかもしれないが）一通りの回復を迎えたことを示している。 その回復を機に身辺整理を始め、その一環として貯金の寄付を行なったのではないか。 男性が回復を天に感謝し、“霊安室”の状態から出て、市役所を訪れ「何かの役に立ててください、寄付します」と言った姿がステンドグラスに描かれ美しい形で昇華されている。

未来少年コナンの VHS

たまたま「未来少年コナン」の VHS が手元に入り、全 7 巻セットで全体的に状態も良かったので、市場をちょっとリサーチしたところ取り引きできそうだったのでメルカリに出品してみた。 しばらくしてふと今月中に売れるかな？　という思いが起こり 1 月 9 日にカードを引いてみたら 貨の 3 だった。これは質問者である私の態度を表している。絵の中の 3 人のうち、図面を手にしフードマントを被った人物が私で図面は商品。売れるか？　というよりも、いかほどの値打ちがあるか？　と問いかけているニュアンスのほうが強い。 これだけでは質問の答が読み取れなかった。そこで貨の 3 のウェイトの解説には「隣接するカードによる」とあるので、もう 1 枚引いたら 盃の A だった。 それですぐさま「ああ売れる」という解釈はしずらいが「何がしかの喜びや満足はもたらしてくれそうである」──と、その時は解釈した。 しかし、一昨日（1 月 14 日）、母（僧侶）からコナンのビデオが弟（職人）のものであることを聞かされた。母は「あの子（弟）は大丈夫だよ。（黙って）売っちゃって平気だよ」と言ったが私はそうは行かないと思い、一旦出品を停止して弟にラインで打診した。 すると間もなく弟から「処分してもいいよ！」という返事が来たので再出品した。 結果として、貨の 3 は内部組織的なイメージのカードなので、私、母、弟の 3 者間のやり取りを表しており、盃の A は弟からの「処分してもいいよ！」というメッセージだったといえる。 質問内容（このケースの場合「売れるかな？」）に固執し過すぎると解釈を誤りがちであるという事例。
